The most venerated historical object 

 

The shroud is considered as the most important relic of Christianity. For special purposes the shroud is exhibited for some weeks in the cathidral of Turin (lately 1998 and 2000).Each time it attracts millions of people, who walk by the shrouds in a broad, endless line.
